Michigan Farm Bureau High School Discussion Meet Finalist

Congratulations to Erica for advancing to the Michigan Farm Bureau High School Discussion State Meet Finals. Out of 18 state competitors, Erica finished in the top 6. On November 10, Whiteford had 3 students compete at the regional event: Erica, Kenzi Gray, and Zach Kahn. Of the 11 regional competitors, Erica and Kenzi moved on to the State competition. Today, the State Semi-Finals and Finals were held in Grand Rapids. The contest is a discussion meet with a 30 second opening statement, 20 minutes of back and forth discussion, and a 1 minute closing statement.
