Principal

I am excited to introduce myself as the new Principal of Whiteford Middle School! As I begin my 15th year in education, I am proud to join the Whiteford family and look forward to serving the community that I am proud to call home. I am excited to plant my roots here, become an active part of this incredible school community and get to know the students, families and staff who make Whiteford so special.

I began my career as a middle school math teacher at Swan Valley Middle School. For the past seven years, I have served the students and families of the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District in a variety of roles, most recently as a high school special education teacher and District Unified Coordinator. Throughout my experiences, I have had the opportunity to serve in leadership roles that have deepened my passion for building a positive school culture, creating meaningful relationships and helping every student reach their full potential. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Cognitive Impairment and administrative certification through the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals. 

I believe middle school is one of the most pivotal times in a student's life. My goal is to create an environment where every student feels known, valued, challenged and supported. I believe that open communication, strong partnerships and collaboration are the foundation of a successful school community. By working together with our outstanding staff and families, we will continue to prepare students for success both in and out of the classroom while promoting a culture of high expectations, kindness and belonging. 

Whiteford's close-knit community and commitment to students are what make this district stand out. I am truly honored to be part of it and look forward to getting to know each of you and making sure every student finds their place at Whiteford Middle School.
