Sophomore student-athletes:

The MHSAA is looking for leaders in the class of 2028 to fill either seats on the MHSAA Student Advisory Council.

Applications are due by Monday, April 20th. The application can be downloaded from MHSAA.com and emailed directly to sac@mhsaa.com. Finalists will be interviewed via Zoom and a new class will be announced by the end of May 1st.

Fun fact: The last time a student-athlete represented Whiteford on the MSHAA Student Advisory Council was in 2017.

Because of Michigan’s unpredictable Spring weather, schedule changes, rescheduling, and occasional cancellations can happen (even the on the day of an event!) for middle school track, as well as varsity softball, baseball, track, and golf. We understand these changes can be frustrating, but the safety of our student-athletes always comes first.

In addition, coaches will communicate directly with players and families regarding any updates, ensuring that those most directly involved receive timely information. Boys basketball districts begin next week. On Monday, February 23rd, the first round of district play will begin at Erie-Mason. Taylor Prep and Arbor Prep at 5:30PM. Riverview and SMCC follow at 7:00PM. The winner of each of those games will move on to the semi-finals on Wednesday, February 25th. Whiteford will play at 5:30PM and Erie-Mason will play at 7:00PM. The District Championship game is on Friday, February 25th at 7:00PM. Tickets will only be available via GoFan. No passes will be accepted at the door.

Here is some important information regarding January 2nd and 3rd's first "The Advance New Year's Basketball Bash!"

• January 2nd, Greenhills and Jefferson will face off at 5:30PM. Whiteford and Blissfield will follow at 7PM. 
• The winners of each game will advance to the Championship game on January 3rd at 4:30PM. A consolation game will take place before the Championship game at 3PM. 
• Doors will open to fans one hour before the first game. Tickets can be purchased online prior to the event or with a debit/credit card at the gate. Senior passes, family passes, and individual passes will not be accepted for this event.
