Hey, Bobcats! The High School Concert Choir and Chorale each received a "DIVISION I" rating at the MSVMA District 12 Choral Festival on Wednesday, March 20th. The festival was hosted by Lincoln HS. Both HS choirs received high marks from the three performance judges, including one perfect score of 30 and each choir also received a "1" in Sightreading. This excellent rating makes them eligible for the State Choir Festival which will be held the first week of May at Leslie HS. Congrats on a GREAT DAY OF SINGING!
Hey, Bobcats! The Whiteford Robotics Team participated in a tournament last weekend. The kids obviously build the robot so they’re learning science, math, programming, using power tools, and so much more. But at the competitions they have to build an alliance. They are required to interview teams, scout matches to collect data on other teams, and build strategies based on data collected. Talk about teaching teamwork! These kids are learning how to NETWORK, how to start a conversation, how to interpret mass amounts of information, how to work with total strangers, how to be LEADERS, how to take a hit and get back up. The team performed really well! They are currently on track for States!
Hey, Bobcats! Congratulations to elementary teacher Mrs. Jen Floyd who was nominated as February’s Staff Member of the Month by Mrs. Groch, Mrs. Bowen, Mrs. Young, Mr. Winans, and Ms. Ehman. Mrs. Floyd was presented with a $100 gift card by Chris MacMillan from the Leski Wittman Insurance Agency at the March 14, 2024, Regular Board Meeting.
