On November 21st (the half day of school before Thanksgiving), the Middle School will be having a tailgate party as a culminating activity for our core class Michigan/Ohio State Football lessons. These lessons will include essays, graphs, experiments and a variety of other math, science, English and social studies instruction. To celebrate we are asking parents to help us by providing "tailgating" food and snacks. Please sign up for what you would like to send in with your student via. All supplies can be dropped off to Miss Waclawski, room 34. Please have all supplies at school by the start of the day on November 21. Thanks!!
Orders are now being taken for the 2018-2019 Middle School Yearbook. They are on sale for $17 until November 30th, when the price increases to $20. Payment by cash and check before and after school to Mrs. Webb in the main office. Credit card payments at www.yearbookforever.com. See FLYER/ORDER FORM for more details.
Any High School student interested in participating in our Robotics Team this season ... we have practice this Saturday (11/17/18) from 1:00 to 4:30 pm in the middle school gym. If you have questions please talk to Mr. Welling or sign up in the office. Our season will officially kick off in December, sign up today!
Upcoming Important Robotics Dates:
- 12/4: Kick off Practice (after school until 4:30)
- 12/5 and 12/6: practices (after school until 4:30)
- 12/18, 19 & 20: practices (after school until 4:30)
The fundraiser fruit is being delivered Wednesday, November 14th at 7:30am in the HS Shop. Parent volunteers are needed to help supervise the following pickup times:
- Wednesday, November 14th: 3:30-6:30 pm
- Thursday, November 15th: 3:00-5:00 pm

On Wednesday, November 7th, we held a Community Forum to seek input from our Bobcat families about the future of education at Whiteford Schools and what needs we may have to update our facilities in order to provide a 21st century learning environment for our students. The district’s architects led discussion by sharing the district’s vision for the future and then sought input from those in attendance. The Monroe ISD is sponsoring an SAT/PSAT Practice Session on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Who should attend??
- 11th graders who will test with the SAT in April, 2019
- 10th graders looking to boost their PSAT scores, especially if aiming for the PSAT/NMSQT in fall 2019
- any high school student looking to improve their PSAT/SAT scores
Can 8th graders attend?? Yes, as space permits. However, please know that the content students see in this session will be PSAT 10/SAT 11 content, and they may be rather out of their comfort zone content-wise.

Any non-band students interested in riding the band/fan bus to Friday's football game at Reading High School must have a completed permission form on file. Payment must be turned in with the form to Mr. Welling.
