Middle School students of the month are chosen by the middle school faculty for a variety of different reasons, including outstanding academic performance, improvement and growth in their school work, having a positive attitude and leadership skills. Recipients the month of May are Zachary Bertz (6th grade), Sydnay Hakeos (7th grade), and Wyatt McGowan (8th grade).  Congratulations!!

Congratulations to Jack Donnelly who was the 2013 recipient of the Keith Dressel "Class Hero" Award.  This award is given annually to an eighth grade student in memory of Detective Keith Dressel, who was a former student at Whiteford Schools and a 14-year member of the Toledo Police Department killed in the line of duty on February 21, 2007.  Students are nominated based on their humanitarian and citizenship qualities, and the middle school teaching staff votes on the annual winner.  Mrs. Larraine Dressel (Keith's mother and former teacher from Whiteford) and her husband, Mike, were in attendance to make the presentation during an assembly on Thursday, May 23rd.  Prior winners include:

The yearbook staff would like to remind all members of the Class of 2014 and their parents to make arrangements to have senior pictures taken.  Please make appointments as soon as possible if you haven't already done so.  The longer you wait to have these portraits taken, the more crowded the photographers' schedules become, and the harder to get photos in by the yearbook deadline.  Please click HERE for additional information and samples of appropriate photos.
